Know the Meaning of Your Dashboard Lights

The warning lights on your dashboard are there to let you know that your car needs some type of maintenance. At Holler Hyundai, we understand the importance of getting your car repaired when certain emergency lights turn on. To keep your car running safely, watch out for the following warning lights:

  • Brake System Issues: The warning light for a problem with your brake system is a circle with an exclamation point in the middle. You may need a simple fix such as more brake fluid, or need a more extensive repair on your entire brake system.
  • Oil Pressure Warning Light: If your oil light comes on, this likely means your car has low oil pressure and needs to be repaired immediately.
  • Transmission Warning Light: When your transmission gets too hot, the warning light that goes on is there to tell you it's time to check the level of coolant in your engine.
